Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall allow for a variety of ways to continue to grow food in our climate zone. Summer growing is practiced most by gardeners and community gardens. Urban farms can just grow in 8 week or 12 week seasons or utilize season extension practices for Spring crops like kale and lettuce and collards etc.
